Because your experiences are so limited 

as compared with all experiences of other human being's.

Your story can be only one novel or one movie, 

but not more than that usually.

So we need to read many books and watch many movies,,,,

to brush up our imagination.

Imagination is very important sometimes,,,,
more than your past experiences.

相互理解には、たぶん、あなたの過去の経験よりも想像力が必要なのだ。
