I have heard that the Japanese word "SATORU(to achieve enlightenment)" is originally from "SA WO TORU(to take out the differences and border)".
For example, let's say that you and I go to the bar. There are cocktail glasses on the table between us. Chill out music is too loud, but we are catching up on our news. -you-,-me-,-table-,-glasses of cocktail-,-chill out music-,-our news-,,,, Each thing seems to be divided. But we have to take out the differences among everything surround us to achieve enlightenment.
I want to feel this Oneness. Everything should be valuable equally. Everything must be connected in some way.
So I try to take pictures any beautiful things in front of me without limiting any category.
When I watched something very carefully, many times I found some kind of cracked holes of another dimension, then I sensed some light from there. Or I really made conversations without any actual words with many things. It could be flowers, fruits, cocktail glasses, women, landscapes.... I felt united with things through taking pictures.
The only way to feel united in this way is that I put myself HERE AND NOW 100% and focus to watch something in front of me. And I feel that this is the best training to take out the differences and border. Achieving enlightenment might be far away, but I believe that I'm on the right way.
